My Hiko Nose Thread Lift Experience

Hiko Nose Threadlift Winter Chee

Nose job, it’s probably one of the most common cosmetic surgery in the beauty industry. However, it comes with the price of going under the knife. Personally, as much as I admire the perfection of those cosmetically enhanced noses, I always have a big fear of going under the knife. The recovery process, the pain and suspense of whether the surgery is a success or not is just too much for me to digest. Hence, I always look for quick, fuss-free and low maintenance procedures like fillers and thread lift.

My nose is quite bulbous with little definition on the nose bridge. I was looking for something to give my nose more height and structure so naturally, nose thread lift is the best solution.

What is Hiko Nose Threadlift?

Hiko Nose Thread Lift is a non-surgical solution to lift the nose for a more defined look. The threads are made up of PDO (polydioxanone) and such dissolvable threads are also commonly used in surgical sutures. As it can be safely absorbed by our body, it is also a much safer option for a non-surgical nose enhancement.

Fillers migration

Fillers migration from previous experience at a different clinic

Personally, I have done both thread lifts and nose fillers. However, something that I am wary about fillers is the possibility of fillers migration and potential blindness when administered by an unskilled professional. Nobody wants an avatar nose, it’s definitely not attractive and the only way to resolve a botched nose filler job is to dissolve it. That means all the money that you have pumped into getting a nicer nose will be dissolved as well. The circled area is the slight migration of my previous fillers that caused my nose to appear slanted.

That being said, I still have to emphasise that the best combination for a beautiful nose without going under the knife is still threads & fillers together. Just go to someone reputable and stick with a doctor that you can trust. All will be fine when you are in good hands.

Here is how the thread looks like. The needle guides the thread for a perfect placement to provide definition and height.

With Hiko Nose Thread Lift, the results provide more satisfaction with a lower possibility of complications. The best part about it is, it also stimulates collagen production hence, providing more support and definition to your nose even when it has been fully absorbed by your body.

My Experience

I am no stranger to Hiko Nose Thread Lift and have personally done both thread lift and fillers before. I have also faced the issue of fillers migration, which caused my nose bridge to appear slightly slanted to the right.

I trusted The Clifford Clinic because of my first visit with Dr Chow Yuen Ho. I remembered during our consultation, at one glance, he could spot the slight slant which not many doctors have a keen enough eye to distinguish. My slanted nose bridge has been a haunting problem for me and I can only contour it or take pictures in a ¾ angle because I feel so uncomfortable with it. It is a very slight migration but when Dr Chow saw it at one glance and told me he could fix it, I knew I was in safe hands.

Marking for Hiko Nose Threadlift

Marking

Injecting Anesthesia

The Hiko Nose Thread Lift procedure is extremely fast and painless with The Clifford Clinic. I remember my first thread lift experience took almost an hour, but this time, it barely took 15 minutes. I wasn’t even convinced that the procedure was done until I saw my nose in the mirror.

Hiko Nose Thread Lift is a very quick and painless procedure with Dr Chow. First, Dr Chow marked my nose to correct the slight slant on my nose bridge. This is to ensure that the threads will be inserted in line to straighten my nose. Once it’s done, he then proceeds to inject some anaesthesia to numb the nose. The injection is not very painful, I would rate it 2/10, but it completely numbed my nose so I couldn’t feel much of the thread lift insertion right after.

Entry hole

Inserting the thread

Once my nose is completely numbed, Dr Chow created an entry hole with a needle to prepare the insertion of the threads. The threads are inserted into the nose using a canula needle as a guide for placement. I felt no pain, just a slight discomfort from the needles going in and out to place the threads. You will feel a slight tightness along your nose which is normal because that means that your nose is getting more defined and taller! At The Clifford Clinic, you get unlimited threads so the doctor will only stop when you are satisfied with the results of your nose.

At 8 threads, my nose look much more defined. Dr Chow then proceeded to add 2 more as what I am seeing is the effect with a slight swell. The 2 extra threads will give me the results of the nose bridge height that I like once the swelling is gone. I had a total of 10 threads in my nose to create the perfect height.

Downsides, Risks & Recovery

Hiko Nose Thread Lifts has little downtime, you can expect swelling and bruising.

For my experience with The Clifford Clinic under the skilled hands of Dr Chow, my recovery was smooth and I had zero downtime. I encountered a bit of swelling only on the first night of my procedure. I recommend sleeping with your head slightly propped higher to help with the discomfort and swelling. The very morning, my nose looked completely fine and there was zero discomfort or sensitivity to the touch. That is the expertise of Dr Chow.

I remembered during my first Nose Thread Lift procedure elsewhere, I had a bad bruising on my nose bridge for almost 2 weeks. My nose was so sensitive to the touch that I couldn’t even put on makeup to cover the bruising. This is why, going to a skilled professional who has done this procedure countless times is extremely important.

The risks for this procedure is low as well, with the slight possibility of threads rejection whereby the threads will poke out of the entry hole. This almost never happen can be easily solved by going back to your doctor.
